Attention fat folks and friends in Lawrence, Kansas!
Our Executive Director, Tigress Osborn is on the road, and she’s coming your way, Kansas! Whether you’re brand new to fat liberation or a seasoned advocate who wants to connect with local community, come connect with us! Join NAAFA on Tuesday evening, July 14 at 7pm at the East Lawrence Rec Center for a fat-friendly meet-up. Tigress will be joined by special guest Corissa Enneking. Tigress will give a brief overview of NAAFA, fat rights and fat liberation, and the Campaign for Size Freedom’s work to outlaw size discrimination, and then we’ll chat with Corissa about being visibly fat on the internet for over a decade and what’s new with Fat Girl Flow. Tigress will also have copies of her book, Weight and Wisdom, with her - proceeds going to NAAFA. Join us for fat fun and friendship!!
This is a free event for fat and fat-positive folks of all ages. See you there!
Please come prepared to mask! (KN94 masks will be provided.) The rec center does not require masking, so there may be unmasked people in other parts of the facility.

Corissa Enneking (she/they) is a happy fatty from the Midwest, USA who began blogging on Tumbler in 2012 and launched FatGirlFlow.com in 2015. Over a decade later, her thousands of fans and followers can count on her to keep it real about weight stigma, ableism, and other equity issues, while also showing off fat fashion and other things she finds beautiful. Corissa has been featured in Huffington Post, Cosmopolitan, and The Daily Mail. She lives in Kansas with her partner J (@comfyfat)and their four dogs.

Tigress Osborn (she/her) is the is the Executive Director of the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA) and co-founder of the Campaign for Size Freedom. She is the co-editor of Weight and Wisdom: Reflections on Decades of Working for Body Liberation (Pearlsong Press 2025). Tigress founded Full Figure Entertainment, a plus-size event production group, in Oakland, CA in 2008. Seen most recently debating Jillian Michaels on the YouTube series Surrounded, Tigress is a 2024 Time Health100 honoree for her advocacy to end systemic size discrimination..
