The NAAFA Community Connect local meetings keep on coming! Albuquerque, this one’s for you!! Whether you’re brand new to fat liberation or a seasoned advocate who wants to connect with local community, come connect with us! Join NAAFA this Friday evening, July 10 at 7pm at Quirky Books for a fat-friendly meet-up. NAAFA’s Executive Director, Tigress Osborn, will be joined by special guest Jen McLellan @plusmommy. Tigress will also give an brief overview of NAAFA, fat rights and #fatliberation, and the Campaign for Size Freedom’s work to outlaw size discrimination, and then we’ll chat with Jen about her plus size pregnancy advocacy and her experience as a TedX speaker. Come mix and mingle with old friends and new!
This is a free event for fat and fat-positive folks of all ages. See you there!

Jen McLellan (she/her) is As a certified childbirth educator and founder of Plus Size Birth (est. 2011), Jen McLellan has spent over a decade advocating for size-inclusive care.
Jen is a TEDx speaker, presents at maternity conferences nationwide, and partners with brands to expand plus-size maternity options. Jen also hosts the Plus Mommy Podcast, named one of the best pregnancy podcasts by The Bump.

Tigress Osborn (she/her) is the is the Executive Director of the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA) and co-founder of the Campaign for Size Freedom. She is the co-editor of Weight and Wisdom: Reflections on Decades of Working for Body Liberation (Pearlsong Press 2025). Tigress founded Full Figure Entertainment, a plus-size event production group, in Oakland, CA in 2008. Seen most recently debating Jillian Michaels on the YouTube series Surrounded, Tigress is a 2024 Time Health100 honoree for her advocacy to end systemic size discrimination..
