How Facebook Fundraisers Make an Impact at NAAFA

Image Description: A photo of two hands is shown, with one hand giving a red paper heart and the other hand reaching out to accept it. The NAAFA logo is in the top left corner and the FLM logo is in the bottom right corner. Icons for Facebook, Instagram, and Meta donations are included at the bottom.

Did you know that when you give to NAAFA via Meta (Facebook or Instagram) the processing fees are waived so your donation goes even farther? Typically donations lose about 3% in processing fees, so this really adds up.

We often have our own fundraising campaigns going on FB and IG. You can give to our Fat Liberation Month fundraiser on Facebook today to support all of the fantastic virtual programming we are offering this month.

In addition to being a donor yourself, you can also host your own fundraiser for NAAFA via Facebook or Instagram and invite your network to donate and support fat liberation! Over the last few years, our supporters have created birthday fundraisers ranging from $50-$500. When your loved ones see that NAAFA is something you love, they’re more likely to donate and to learn more about the work we do!

Together, our supporters have raised $10,993 through birthday fundraisers on Facebook in the last three years. We’re so grateful!

Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to create a Facebook fundraiser, and here is the info on how to create one on Instagram

You can visit NAAFA’s Facebook Page anytime and click the blue Donate button or visit our Instagram profile (using your smartphone) and click the fundraising banner.

You can also donate directly on our website, either as a one-time gift or on a recurring basis.

It is thanks to the generosity of our supporters that NAAFA is able to continue the fight for #SizeFreedom!
