By Darliene Howell, NAAFA’s Administrative Director

Many know me as part of the Board of Directors of NAAFA. But more specifically, I am the Administrative Director at NAAFA and a member of the NAAFA POD (Passionate Ongoing Donors), our group of recurring donors. Recurring donors add so much to NAAFA’s stability and success. We appreciate that we can count on that commitment to justice to be able to budget and plan for our future. The more POD members we have, the stronger the organization and the voice of fat community.

I am proud to support NAAFA for 17 years alongside fellow POD members who give to NAAFA. Thanks to another passionate donor, during the month of May, NAAFA will receive $100 for every new recurring donor (up to $10,000). And, if you are a current POD member and  increase your monthly donation, that increase will count towards this match! I increased my monthly donation by $20 a month. Will you join me? So far, 48 have joined the ranks of the POD and 4 founding members of the POD have increased their monthly donation! We’re over halfway there!

You can help us recruit even more Passionate Ongoing Donors. Download this meme and share it to spread the word to your circle of friends and sphere of influence on social media. Be sure to add a comment to let others know why you support NAAFA and add the hashtags #NAAFApod #naafaofficial.

Thank you for your continued support of the organization, mission, and programming by becoming and being part of the POD as a recurring donor!
