Remembering Bill: Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Bill Fabrey
Saturday, June 13, 2026
12:30pm PT / 1:30pm MT / 2:30pm CT / 3:30pm ET
Duration: 60 minutes
In January, NAAFA lost a very special community member with the passing of our founder, Bill Fabrey. As we celebrate NAAFA’s anniversary this June, we will also celebrate the contributions to NAAFA and other size acceptance activism made by Bill Fabrey in his many years as an advocate for fat people and a co-ally alongside those who love fat people. We invite you to join us on Zoom for a virtual celebration of Bill’s life and legacy on Saturday, June 13th at 12:30pm Pacific time.
This one-hour event will feature photos and video clips of Bill, history presented by Team NAAFA, and special memories shared by loved ones. Registration is required for this Zoom event. The event will be recorded, and the video link will be sent to all registrants after the event.
Bill’s work reached people all over the world, and we know there are many people who would like to honor his work. There will be a limited time available for community members to share thoughts about Bill’s life and legacy. If you would like to share thoughts in a less public way, or if you are unable to attend the virtual memorial on June 13th, please use this form.
Whether you knew him personally, admired him from afar, or are brand new to learning more about NAAFA, Bill, and fat activism history, we look forward to being with you to celebrate Bill.
