The The Campaign for Size Freedom is excited to support Massachusetts bill H.1705/S.1108 - An Act Prohibiting Body Size Discrimination, sponsored by Senator Rausch (@beccarausch4ma) and Representative Tram Nguyen (@team.tram). The bill is being heard in the Joint Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, December 5 at 1pm Eastern. Public testimony on the bill is welcomed by the Commonwealth, and we’ll be there!

If you live or work in MA, your opinion matters! You can testify in person, virtually, or in writing. Join the Campaign for Size Freedom and Bigger Bodies Boston on Monday, December 4, 2023 at 6:30pm in Boston as we gather for pizza, prep, and poster making. We’ll work together to make everyone’s testimony the strongest it can be and to make sure we are collectively representing the many aspects of size discrimination fat people face, and enjoy #fatjoy and #fatcommunity in preparation for the next day’s testimony!

Register for Monday night’s Pizza and Posters event here.

Visit naafa.org/sizefreedom-ma2023 for more info on testifying. Please note: If you want to testify virtually at the committee hearing, you must register for the hearing by 5pm on Sunday, December 3!

The location of this event will not be published. You will receive the address via email on Monday. The venue will be public transit accessible, and Uber vouchers up to $30 are available upon request.

This event is supported by the Campaign for Size Freedom, NAAFA, and Solovay Law’s FLARE Project. NAAFA is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with a mission to change perceptions of fat and to end size discrimination through advocacy, education, and support.
