Fat Liberation Month Kick-off Party - Minneapolis
Friday, August 1, 2025
5:00-7:00pm at Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities
3110 Washington Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55411-1632
Welcome to the 5th Annual Fat Liberation Month!
This year, we’re kicking things off with our first-ever IN PERSON celebration!
Please join us in Minneapolis on August 1st for a joyful gathering to honor the local activists and leaders who made Minneapolis the 9th city in the US to outlaw size discrimination. Their new law goes into effect on the first day of Fat Liberation Month, and if that’s not a reason to party, we don’t know what is!
Emcee extraordinaire Kiki Joy (she/her) will join our executive director, Tigress Osborn (she/her), and other special guests. Local fave DJ Darling Nicque (they/she) will provide the tunes, so come ready to dance! There will be door prizes and other treats.
Please plan to wear a mask (KN94 masks provided). See you there!
This event is co-sponsored by Cake Plus Size Boutique and Authentically Fat.
