“I have existed in a fat body in various ranges my entire life. It’s just part of me at this point.
I do think that existing in this body has contributed to my ability to be empathetic to people of all backgrounds, body types, abilities, cultures, etc.
I draw people, so drawing realistic body types is something that is always on my mind as a fat person.”

Fat Liberation means accessibility for one MAJOR thing — make the planet more accessible for ALL HUMANS.
It also means freedom to exist as we are without the expectation to have to hide away or change in order to be deemed acceptable in society.

‘I believe art is one of the oldest forms of activism there is. Poetry, music, literature, visual art, etc., have always existed since the beginning in ways to fight against inequity and inequality and to raise awareness of past, current, and ongoing socio-political issues. So I believe in using my work to meet these moments as best I can, even if it’s just by encouraging others to find their community, practice radical empathy, or take it to the streets.”
