The event includes interactive games, virtual hangout time, and of course, performances from Seyoncé. Join us for a fat-friendly, frighteningly good time! Costumes/dress-up encouraged but not required. Note: This event is for ages 18+.

ASDAH EVENT - AfroFuturism: Changing the Narrative on the Future of Bodies. Friday, August 26, 2022 at 10am PT/11am MT/12pm CT/1pm ET
This interactive workshop will give a history of AfroFuturism as well as an opportunity to discuss and work with the ideology of AfroFuturism (context, resilience, futurist ideation) as they apply to the ongoing work of ending fat antagonism. We will also discuss how we envision the ways in which we talk about bodies, examine bodies, and celebrate bodies in a way that humanizes all individuals along a spectrum of the diversity of bodies. Whether you're a trivia pro or this is your first online trivia challenge ever, all levels of experience are welcome! The challenge is hosted by fat activist and former Jeopardy contestant Patrick Rostock, a trivia geek extraordinaire.
Think you don't know enough trivia to play? If you've been attending our events and following our social media posts this month, you've heard a lot of these facts along the way!
We've got a few fun goodies for our winning team, but of course, the real prize is hanging out with fat community and making friends. Put together your own team of four or sign up solo and we'll randomly assign you to a fatabulous trivia team. If you're signing up together, each person still needs to register on their own (you'll tell us your team name and we'll match you up with your peeps!).
Register by midnight on Wednesday, 8/24 to receive the event link.
