Special NAAFA Fundraising Performance - May 9th in Brooklyn!

Thursday May 9, 2024

8:00pm ET

The Brick Presents: Geraldine Realigned Drives from Gay Place to Gay Place and You’re in the Car Too

Geraldine’s got a tune up and she’s back on the road! Following a sold-out run last year, the zippy and zany Geraldine Realigned Drives from Gay Place to Gay Place and You’re in the Car Too returns to The Brick Theater in Brooklyn this spring. A drag-infused one-person show with a twist, this vulnerable comedy asks how do we get to where we want to go? Part communion, part road trip, and a full-out pilgrimage-turned-presentation-turned-performance, Geraldine Realigned covers a lot of gay ground in 60 minutes. Buckle up for a ride like no other!

Geraldine Realigned, created by Cam Cronin & Billy McEnteen, will host a special NAAFA Night on May 9th at 8pm. A portion of all ticket sales for that performances will benefit NAAFA.

Following the performance, NAAFA’s Executive Director, Tigress Osborn, will be the talkback guest. She will take the driver’s seat to interview performer Cam Cronin for a quick, fun chat, followed by a cake and wine reception.

Theater info and accessibility

The Brick Theater is at 579 Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, located one block off of the G and L subway trains; that Metropolitan/Lorimer stop does have an elevator. The theater is conveniently one block from the clothing store PLUS BKLYN.

The Brick Theater is a ground level garage converted into a theater. There is a permanent ramp to the performance area, which is a little less than a foot up from the ground level. The bathroom has a grab bar and an ADA compliant door width, but the ground is somewhat uneven inside of the bathroom.

The intimate, 40-person theater is general seating, though seats can be reserved if requested, and more than one per seat may be reserved for a single person as well at any performance. The cushioned chairs are about 14-inches wide and comfortably hold 300 pounds; weight may be dispersed across more than one chair. That said, please complete this accessibility form if you want to communicate any additional requests to the organizers.
